Today at art camp, we focused on the idea that everyone is an artist—and creativity looks different for each of us! The kids made self-portraits using words and pictures that reflect their interests, talents and goals. It was a meaningful project that helped each child express who they are and who they are becoming.
We also got crafty making wooden picture frames using macrame rings—taking an object intended for one use and applying it for something different.
Our senior group explored the magic of salt and watercolor, using glue and salt to create stunning abstract pieces. Watching the paint spread and blend through the salt was a fun and fascinating part of the process.
It was a day full of self-expression, discovery, and the joy of learning that creativity lives in all of us.
